Job Summary

You will work within the Financial Services department providing essential support to a team of Mortgage & Protection advisors across our 8 busy offices on the Wirral. As a mortgage administrator you will play a crucial role in the mortgage process starting at the initial introduction/enquiry stage all the way through to completion with tasks such as decision in principles, full mortgage applications, recommendation letters & liaising with all parties involved. Attention to detail, time management and amazing communication skills are 3 key requirements for the role.

Due to the daily demands of this position, we are looking for a candidate who has experience within the mortgage industry, either within a customer service or administrative capacity.

Core Responsibilities

  • Completing Decision in Principles and full mortgage applications.
  • Processing and managing applications from the initial enquiry stage through to completion.
  • Obtaining and uploading client documents on both lenders and internal systems.
  • Completing client recommendation letters.
  • Following internal compliance systems to ensure we adhere to FCA rules and regulations.
  • Managing back-office systems for Mortgage and Protection applications, making sure all tasks are complete and ensuring no business opportunities are missed.
  • Communication by way of email and telephone with clients, lenders, solicitors & estate agents.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment meeting internal targets.

Essential Requirements

  • Mortgage Administrator experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Great attention to detail and accurate data entry is vital.
